Canberra is missing out on a discount flight sale to Bali.

Batik Air is offering huge discounts to Bali in what's been described as a great last-minute deal, but not from the national capital.

The airline pulled out of Canberra in October, just months after launching the service to Bali. At the time it said it was reviewing operational and commercial factors.

Last week, it offered heavily discounted air fares from various Australian cities – but now that Canberra is not in its system, those in the ACT will need to pay an additional fare to travel to another capital city, before flying to Bali.
