<headline>Drunk drives at bystanders trying to help him</headline>
<body><p><strong>A 22-year-old man has been charged after allegedly driving at bystanders who attempted to stop him from drink driving in Kambah on Wednesday night.</strong></p>
<p>Police say other patrons and staff tried to stop the man from getting into his car when he left a licensed premise at around 11pm, but he drove off with another man still holding on to the vehicle.</p>
<p>The other man fell off and the driver allegedly drove up and down the street repeatedly, causing the bystanders to scatter.</p>
<p>Police arrested the man at home around midnight. HeÂ underwent a blood alcohol screening test, returning a reading of 0.142.</p>
<p>He has been charged with using an offensive weapon, driving a motor vehicle with alcohol in his breath, dangerous driving and failing to stop and provide assistance.</p>
