(Lukas Coch/AAP PHOTOS)</caption> <p><span class="kicker-line">By <strong>Dominic Giannini</strong></span></p> <p><strong>A man and woman are on the run after allegedly threatening workers with a knife, prompting the lockdown of a major shopping centre.</strong></p> <p>Police were called to the Canberra Outlet Centre about 3.15pm on Thursday, with witnesses describing the man producing a large knife and threatening staff.</p> <p>"The centre was placed into lockdown and multiple police units attended including (Australian Federal Police) specialist teams," ACT police said in a statement.</p> <p>"A sweep of the premises has been conducted and at this time police believe the pair have fled the scene."</p> <p>No one reported any physical injuries, and police urge anyone with information to come forward.</p> </body>
