Canberra’s fighting fit

CANBERRA’S best health and fitness professionals have been recognised at the ACT Health and Fitness Industry Awards.

The awards named Fernwood (city) as the ACT Fitness Business of the Year, under 2000 members; Southern Cross Health Club as ACT Fitness Business of the Year, over 2000 members; and exercise professional 21-year-old Matthew Quixley from Curtin as ACT Exercise Professional of the Year.

The three winners will represent the ACT at the national Health and Fitness Industry Awards.

“The Awards recognise those at the top of their profession who go above and beyond expectation for their clientele,” Fitness Australia CEO Lauretta Stace said.

“Through new initiatives, hard work and a passion for health and fitness, these are the individuals who deliver a great service within their community and are a credit to the fitness industry.”
