MASTERCHEF’S Hayden Quinn will kick off a hardware store’s community fun day at Belconnen on Saturday, with a cooking demonstration.
The fun day will include activities appealing to young and old, ranging from balloon animals and a kids’ DIY workshop, plus information displays from various community groups including Canberra Bonsai Society, Women’s Centre of Queanbeyan and the Molongo Rural Fire Brigade.
Bunnings’ manager Bruce Husking says: “There are so many great community organisations in Canberra that help to make it such a great place to live and work. This is one of the ways we can thank them for the great work they do.”
Community Fun Day at Bunnings Belconnen, 10am-3pm (Hayden Quinn at 12pm-3pm) on Saturday, October 29 and kids’ entertainment, 10am-3pm, on Sunday, October 30.
