ROASTER and barista Sasa Sestic from Ona Coffee House in Fyshwick, has won the Australiasian Grand Barista Championship.
Sasa won the title on July 9 in Thailand against baristas from Hong Kong and Thailand.
Sasa said there was a lot of pressure traveling to Thailand as the Australian representative but wanted to make sure the title remained in Australia.
“I trained three to four hours a day for three days a week and also spent time with the Danes team in Australia perfecting my shots,” Sasa said.
“It was a great opportunity to travel to another country and see the comparison in techniques. I am excited about bringing the title back to Australia with me.”
