All a load of rubbish

CANBERRA will have a cleaner future thanks to two new additions to the TAMS waste management fleet.

According to Minister for Territory and Municipal Services Simon Corbell, the two new garbage loaders will increase the capacity for collecting waste in the safest way possible.

The loaders have a capacity of eight cubic metres or the equivalent of rubbish from 400 household garbage bins – which is 100 more bins than the old trucks could carry.

They currently service about 800 bins on an average week across Canberra.
