UNTIL December 9, curator Ben Drysdale at Belconnen Gallery will be busy hosting a kaleidoscope of colourful exhibitions by and for people who use their art as a tool to achieve peace of mind.
The “Piece of Mind” exhibition series begins with the Belconnen Community Centre’s Mental Health Week exhibition, “No Health without Mental Health,” running until October 21.
This first show features paintings, drawings, pottery and sculpture by participants in the Centre’s Open Art Program.
Then from October 25 to November 4 the gallery will show “Its all in the Details,” photography by Pauline Mager and Steve Aldred.
From November 8 to 18 you can see “In Touch,” paintings by 16-year-old Matthew Koh who lives with autism and uses art to express himself.
Finally, from November 22 to December 9 is “Bridges”, a selection of mixed media artworks by participants in the Centre’s “Bridges” program.
The “Piece of Mind” exhibition series is at the Belconnen Gallery, Belconnen Community Centre, Swanson Court, Belconnen. Open 9am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.
