Crowd gathers for Queen

OUR snapper to the stars SILAS BROWN was among the scrum of national and international press to greet the Queen and Prince Philip this morning before their private tour of Floriade.

The Queen, who arrived in Canberra yesterday evening, will inspect the Victory Garden and gardens of Floriade before heading back to Government House for a tree planting.

Thousands of Canberrans have converged around the lake in perfect spring sunshine to catch a glimpse of the Queen and Prince Philip.
