More training for nurses

ANGLICARE and the Royal College of Nursing Australia will team-up as part of a recently announced training agreement.

The partnership will provide Anglicare access to a wide range of education services offered by the RCNA including workshops, scholarships and discipline specific faculties.

Anglicare’s chief executive Peter Sandeman said the charity puts a high value on ensuring all staff acquire and employ the skills necessary for high-quality care.

“Anglicare serves the most vulnerable. To achieve best practice outcomes for clients, Anglicare supports training and education for all staff,” Mr  Sandeman said.

“We have a team of qualified educators and trainers who work with staff to plan career development. This partnership will strengthen this suite of activities.”

In Canberra, Anglicare provides primary health care through The Junction Youth Health service, residential aged care as well as a range of community-based nursing services.

Anglicare is a registered training organisation and already has partnerships with the University of Canberra and Charles Sturt University.
