Concrete dropped on car

TWO teenagers allegedly threw a piece of concrete from a Parkes Way footbridge this morning on to a moving car.

Police said a 30-year-old man was injured and his car windscreen shattered after an object struck his vehicle at around 4.30am.

The man was driving southbound along Parkes Way when an object, believed to be a lump of concrete, struck his vehicle as he was travelling under the footbridge between Allara Street and Commonwealth Park.

The man suffered a small cut to his head and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

The man told police he saw two teenage males on the bridge around the time of the incident. One of the males was wearing a dark-coloured “hoodie” jumper.

Witnesses are to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au
