Special kids do their best

MORE than 500 ACT students with disabilities will compete at the AIS athletics track on November 3 as part of the “Be the Best You Can Be” athletics carnival.

The carnival, now in its 11th year, will include students from primary schools, high schools and colleges across the ACT competing in sports such as sprints, vortex throw, long jump and shot put.

Students who have intellectual or physical disabilities will compete in specially modified sporting activities.

A 100m celebrity sprint race will also be held, consisting of athletes from the Raiders, Brumbies, Canberra Capitals and the AIS.

Lawyers Snedden Hall & Gallop are a sponsor of “Be the Best You Can Be”.
