Spring race season begins

Thoroughbred Park race season begins tomorrow.

THOROUGHBRED Park’s spring racing season will be up and running tomorrow with the first meeting of the season – the ACTTAB Tony Campbell Memorial Cup.

According to Thoroughbred Park, the launch of CanBobs (Canberra breeders and owners bonus scheme) has seen an increase in race fields and  “throughout the Spring the quality and quantity of racing in Canberra will improve tenfold”.

The next race day will be the annual Joseph & Jones Racing Race Day on Friday September 16 followed by the Schweppes Race Day on Friday September 30.

The Open Family Charity Race, in collaboration with the Students Race Day, will be held on Friday October 14. The event will include a fashions on the field competition, including a fashion designer’s award.

Prizes up for grabs include cash and Myer gift cards to the value of $3000.
