Teen speeds with baby in car

A P-PLATER was caught yesterday on the Hume Highway, Goulburn, speeding in an unregistered car and with an unrestained baby also in the car.

At about 2.30pm NSW highway police detected a red Ford Falcon travelling at 128kmh in the 110kmh zone. When police stopped the car they found the 17-year-old female driver had an 18-month-old child unrestrained in the car.

Police also found that the teenager’s licence was suspended and the car was unregistered. Police escorted the car to the nearest service station where police advised the teen not to drive.

The teenager was issued a number of traffic infringement notices and warned about dangerous driving.
