At about 5.25pm, the woman was walking through the Bega Flats when she was approached by two men – one hit her on the back of the head, causing her to fall to her knees. She was then struck in the chest.

The offenders demanded she hand over her belongings and attempted to take her bag but failed.

The first man is described as aged in his 20s, between 170cm (5’7”) and 180cm (5’11”) tall, wearing jeans, a red jumper, a black beanie and black gloves.

The men had a medium-sized, short-haired, black and white dog with them.

Anyone who saw two men matching the above descriptions are to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or visit www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
