CANBERRA kung fu grandmaster Neal Hardy attracted quite the crowd in City Walk this afternoon, when he gave the public a taste of his world-record attempt – to lie on a bed of nails with more than 500kg of bricks on his torso, then smash the bricks with a sledge hammer.
As part of the practice run, Labor’s Minister for Multicultural Affairs Joy Burch, jumped on board – standing on Mr Hardy with three other people during the demonstration.
Mr Hardy will make the attempt on the world record on Sunday, February 12, as part of the National Multicultural Festival.
