ABC dominates Canberra ratings

ABC has claimed the first seven rankings in Canberra’s television ratings this week , with “Gruen Planet” on top for the second week in a row.

Gruen Planet
“Gruen” fared better than the average NRL final, with 53,000 views.

In total, the ABC had 12 of the top 20 programs, with PRIME claiming four, WIN three and TEN just one.

“The X-Factor” did respectable numbers for PRIME while TEN’s performance lifted slightly, thanks mainly to “Modern Family”.

WIN’s news offering again kept them in the race, with their next best performing program, Eddie McGuire’s quiz show “Hot Seat”, coming in
at number 28 with around 25,600 viewers.

With the new digital free-to-air channels, the ABC network comes out on top with a total share of 26.8 per cent in peak and 26.9 per cent of all viewing, thanks to a strong performance by ABC2.
