Advertising agency gets a new boss

GREY Advertising has appointed Tony Mansfield, pictured, as its new general manager following the sudden resignation of Warren Apps from the position some weeks ago.

Mansfield is the former head of strategy and account management at Hulsbosch Design, one of Australia’s most successful independent design agencies.

He began work at Grey’s Fyshwick office today and has over a decade of experience in brand identity and communications, advising many of Australia’s biggest brands. From global brands in fast moving consumer goods, to Australia’s largest consulting and professional services firms, Allens Linklaters and Deloitte, through to  Telstra and retailers, Woolworths Limited and Rebel Sport.

He also has extensive government experience from his role as executive leader at Manidis Roberts and national government agencies such as the Department of Human Services, the Australian Communications and Media Authority, the National Broadband Network, the NSW Department of Transport as well as with State agencies in the energy sector.

Matt Johnson has been appointed the Canberra agency’s creative director. Johnson has led creative campaigns for some of the world’s most prestigious brands – American Express, Hyundai, CommSec, Kimberley Clarke, Sanitarium, Glaxo Smith Kline, KFC, Pizza Hut, Diageo, Coca Cola Amatil and various NSW government departments.
