Are you the next Kath or Kim?

AWARD winning film producer/director Murray Fahey, know for “Dags”, “Cubbyhouse” and “Encounters” will be auditioning performers this weekend for an improvised feature film being made in Canberra.

The film is being made as part of the world’s first Improvised Film Festival, which will screen 23 hours of improvised films from around the globe, to screen on Friday, July 6 at The Street Theatre.

The idea is to celebrate spontaneity, comedy, mystery and drama and unplanned filmmaking at its best. So, they’re saying, “If you think you have talent, are the next Kath & Kim, or want to be in the next ‘Red Dog’, and then come to the film audition.”

They’re looking for males and females of all ages (note: under 18 years will need legal guardian consent). Your audition piece  (five min max) could be in song, mime, ballet, magic trick, joke, Bollywood dance number, monologue, balloon animals making or anything you fancy.

Audition call time 10.30am, Saturday, June 30, at Performing Arts Services Hub (PASH) Suite 301, 20 Allara St, Civic.

Round 2: In-character interview – you will be given a character to perform.

Round 3: Scenes –  actors will be matched and given scenes to perform.
