Barton bin blaze causes evacuation

Share Canberra's trusted news:

AROUND 400 workers were evacuated from a Barton office building this afternoon after a blaze in an indoor garbage bin.

Two fire pumpers helped to extinguish the fire, which caused heavy smoke logging to the building on National Circuit.

Firefighters say there was minimal damage.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
