Bush poet performs at Poets’ Corner today

IF you’re in Civic today, Thursday from 12.30-1pm, look around for Poets’ Corner in Garema Place.

Local bush poet Laurie McDonald (“although almost none of it is about the bush”, he says) will be launching his poetry CD, “Laurie McDonald Live….at The Murrumbateman Pub”, recorded in October before an audience of about 50-60 people.

McDonald is one of the burgeoning numbers of performance poets around town, though he’s been doing it for about 20 years.

He regularly performs and MCs at festivals and functions around town and says the CD runs for an hour.  All but two of the poems are his own. Poets Corner, he tells us,  is getting a little use but needs more attention—here’s a chance to experience it.

Could you please tell me how to contact Bush Poet Laurie Mc Donald? I would like to buy his CD “Live at the Murrumbateman Pub” but can’t find it on Google.
Thank you
