A 55-year-old man was seriously injured after his car crossed a median strip and collided with a concrete shoulder barrier on the Monaro Highway yesterday afternoon.

Around 2.35pm, a Nissan Pulser entered the north-bound lanes of the highway, crossing the median strip and the three south-bound lanes before colliding with a concrete shoulder barrier.

The man was taken to Canberra Hospital with serious injuries.

There were no other passengers in the car and no other vehicles were involved in the collision.

Anyone who saw the car before the collision or witnessed the collision should call 1800 333000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
