IT’LL be hats on at Belconnen Arts Centre on Tuesday for a lively Melbourne Cup lunch. It’s the centre’s celebration of the race that stops a nation. The event will raise funds to support the arts in the Belconnen region and is sponsored by Ray White Belconnen.
This year’s host will be Greg Bayliss from ABC Canberra 666 and there will be sweeps, raffles and a lunch provided by Black Pepper Café & Bar.
The centre is collaborating with the Canberra Institute of Technology Fashion and Textiles students to present a fashion parade of this year’s latest trends and hats.
