THE Thai Music Festival showcases a free live concert performed by two of Thailand’s most dynamic bands – leading traditional Thai percussion ensemble Korphai and the innovative Boy Thai, ensemble, blending samba, bossa nova, and modern jazz with traditional Thai music.
The concert will be performed at Llewellyn Hall, at the ANU School of Music, at 7pm on Friday, March 23.
A major feature of this event will be the private screening of the film, “Hom Rong” (“The Overture”), with soundtrack by Kor Phai.
The festival, which celebrates the 60th anniversary diplomatic relations between Thailand and Australia, also incorporates a one-day public symposium and a public concert in Llewelyn Hall.
