Goldilocks up for malicious damage

THE Three Bears have taken Goldilocks to court charged with breaking and entering, malicious damage and stealing.

Will Goldilocks be found guilty and sent to jail? Or is a different fate in store for her?

You thought you knew the old story, didn’t you? But Canberra’s Pied Piper Productions is about to give you a new slant on one of the oldest tale, in a show based on Roald Dahl’s “Revolting Rhyme.”

Pied Piper director, Nina Stevenson, explains that her company Pied Piper Productions teaches young people the basics of music theatre and excellence in theatre craft through the workshopping and performing of a short musical production.

She’s engaged one of Canberra’s hottest young musical directors, John Yoon, to lead the musical side of the show and they both say songs and dialogue are perfect for young audiences and their families, as well, of course, for the cast members, aged 6 to 13.

“Goldilocks and The Three Bears,” at St Paul’s Anglican Church Hall Manuka, 6pm Friday and Saturday, Nov 23-24. $5 tickets at the door.
