Hadley calls for Gardner’s sacking

TOP-rating Sydney shock jock Ray Hadley has called for the sacking of Canberra 2CC producer and part-time presenter Jorian Gardner over tasteless comments he made yesterday about Minister Stephen Conroy and the notion of a “penis cam” in Cabinet.

Gardner made the comments on his early morning editorial segment on Mark Parton’s breakfast show, which Gardner is the producer of. In a conversation with Parton about the police union calling for “lapel cams” for ACT police uniforms, Gardner said: “What we need is Stephen Conroy penis cam. Then we could find out what really happens under the cabinet table.”

Gardner has been banned from the air for one week and has publicly apologised for going too far.

Hadley, whose 2GB show is broadcast on 2CC, was taking calls and suggested Gardner be sacked over the comments.
