Here comes the rain again

CANBERRA has had a slight break from the wet today, however the weekend’s forecast expects more heavy rain.

The Bureau of Meteorology expects a minimum temperature of 11C with a maximum of 19C on Saturday with rain developing around dawn and heavier by midday.

On Sunday, Canberra is expected to have a minimum temperature of 15C and a maximum of 24C. BOM expects rain until the evening.

Despite the forecast, the Enlighten festival will go ahead but with some changes to the free outdoor activities. Pollock Pong and entertainment on the west side stage has been postponed until next weekend.

Outdoor acitivities including the Silent Disco, Erth Garden and Tawdry Heartburn have been moved to the National Library of Australia.

However “Twighlight” at the Australian National Botanic Gardens will go ahead.
