IT’S time for QL2’s “Hot to Trot 2012” — new short works by young Canberra dancers aged 15-20, members of the Quantum Leap ensemble, now creating their own short works.
Overseen by Adelina Larsson and Ruth Osborne, the young choreographers, Darcy Read, Luke Fryer and Nasim Patel, Jack Riley, Tamar Peacock, Georgia Grow and Kayla Smurthwaite, Amanda Lee, Georgia Holgate and Ashleigh Simpson, have created pieces that are billed as “physical, thoughtful, serious, fun.”
The show runs for about 80 minutes, with an optional, additional meet-the-artists forum afterwards.
“Hot to Trot 2012,” at QL2 Studios, Gorman House Arts Centre, 7pm Saturday 24 & Sunday 25 November 24-5, bookings to http://www.trybooking.com or at the door, 30 minutes before each show. But be warned, it sold out last year.
