AS most Canberrans are grappling with the tasks of the Christmas week, local writer, teacher, sports coach, director and rock musician George Huitker has other ideas.
One of Canberra’s favourite New Years’ Eve parties will return this year when Huitker and his band Junk Sculpture will rock the night away at Teatro Vivaldi Restaurant in the ANU Arts Centre.
A talented covers bands in our region, George Huitker & Junk Sculpture will blaze their way into the new Year with “LET IT B”, featuring favourite songs beginning with “B”, artists initialled “B”, and the B-side of old classics – from “Brown Sugar”, “Born to Run”, “Johnny B Goode” and “Blue Suede Shoes” and so on.
As Huitker says, “it’s going to B a Brilliant Beginning to 2013”.
