Two men arrested over Kaleen robbery

TWO men have been arrested in relation to the armed robbery of a Kaleen service station last month.

In August the two men allegedly robbed a Caltex service station and one assaulted a staff member.

Both men, aged 27 and 23, were taken into custody yesterday afternoon after search warrants were executed on homes in Macgregor and Scullin.

Police say they were able to conduct the searches after acting on information from a member of the public to Crimestoppers.

“The end result of two people being arrested for the aggravated robbery clearly demonstrates that the relationship between police and the community is strong,” Detective Superintendent Brett McCann said.

Both men faced The ACT Magistrates’ Court today.
