Libs commit to ‘timely’ Tuggeranong audit

THE Canberra Liberals have promised a comprehensive audit of existing community facilities in South East Tuggeranong and to upgrade Calwell oval if elected.

Opposition Leader Zed Seselja says the audit of community facilities in Calwell, Theodore, Richardson and Isabella Plains,is “very timely.”

“The outcome of this audit will then be fed into a master planning process for South East Tuggeranong to establish the needs for new and redeveloped community facilities, such as a hall which residents have asked for,” he says.

“We’ll also provide a $350,000 grant to upgrade Calwell oval, as part of our $3.5 million pledge to improve local sports facilities.

“A particular focus of this master plan will be to integrate the Calwell regional shopping centre and the Tuggeranong Homestead fully into the community.”
