Mayor promises new deal for Karabar

Queanbeyan mayor Tim Overall… making plans.
TIM Overall, candidate for re-election as Queanbeyan mayor is promising the beautification and visual enhancement of the Karabar community and shopping precinct area after the September 8, NSW council elections.

“In my first term as Mayor, we have delivered the Crawford Street Lifestyle Precinct and the Riverfront Café to help encourage greater amenity and pride on our CBD area. In a second term we will have a concurrent focus on the Karabar shopping precinct,” he said.

“With the Edwin Land Parkway now open and connecting Jerrabomberra and Karabar, and with the Googong new town development about to start and only five minutes down the road, its timely to have a renewed focus on the Karabar precinct, which has largely been overlooked for too long.”
