Live and extremely spontaneous

Jake McIntyre
“LIVE@BAC” is an initiative of Belconnen Arts Centre that sees live music performed by talented local musicians on an occasional basis.

This Friday, August 10,  in the  foyer overlooking Lake Ginninderra, musician Jake McIntyre will be joined tonight by the Dusty Two (Michael Ferguson and Rob Kerr) in an all-acoustic showcase of his music.

Also on the  bill is Mike Holberton in a  mix of acoustic rock, rhythm and rhyme. “I love seeing people’s lives impacted by music, whether that be emotionally or a life experience that they can associate with,” he says.

Belconnen Community Arts Officer, Philip Piggin, is over the moon, saying: “We were thrilled to see so many enthusiastic supporters at the first three LIVE@BAC events – a great beginning to this new initiative for Belconnen.” He adds that visitors can  also take the opportunity to wander through the current exhibitions in the centre.

LIVE@BAC, at Belconnen Arts Centre, 118 Emu Bank, Belconnen, 5.30pm-7pm,  Friday, August  10. Cost $5 at the door. The centre’s kiosk/bar is well stocked with alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments, hot drinks, snacks, cakes and biscuits. Performers interested in playing at future Live @ BAC events should  contact Jordan Mullen, hello@jordanmullen.com
