NightFest returns to Floriade

TICKETS to Floriade’s after-dark event, NightFest, are now on sale with promoters promising five nights of markets, music, food and wine.

NightFest started four years ago as a way to extend the appeal of the popular springtime festival.

This year’s event boasts light installations, fire twirling, bands and runway fashion shows.

Each night will feature different themes, including Chill Out Wednesday, Latino Thursday, Supper Club Friday, Party Night Saturday and Family Night Sunday.

The Comedy Stage will feature acts such as Randy, the Stevenson Experience, Dayne Rathbone, Ronny Chieng, and Michael Workman.

In the ActewAGL Look ’n’ Learn Marquee there will be runway fashion shows and Q&A sessions with a stylist.

There will also be cooking demonstrations held in the Gourmet Garden.

Deputy Chief Minister Andrew Barr said last year’s NightFest attracted strong crowds, with a total of 22,603 walking through the gates despite rainy conditions.

NightFest will run 6.30pm to 10.30pm from Wednesday 26 September to Sunday 30 September. Tickets are available through premier.ticketek.com.au.
