Police arrest school thief

AN 18-year-old Kambah man has been arrested following an aggravated burglary in a Kambah school last week.

Police say between 5.30pm on Thursday, August 2 and 5.30pm on Friday, August 3 an offender gained entry to a classroom at St Thomas Apostle Primary School, Kambah.

A teacher at the school noticed several items had been taken from the room. Police say they cannot yet reveal what the items were.

At 9am this morning police searched the man’s residence in Kambah and said they found items matching the description of those taken from the school.

The man has been charged with aggravated burglary and theft offences and will face the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow where bail will be opposed.
