Police blitz Barry Drive speedsters

POLICE are targeting dangerous driving around 40kmh work zones and issued 78 tickets on Barry Drive yesterday.

Officer in charge of Traffic Operations Sgt Rod Anderson expressed concern at the number of fine issued, saying: “Speeding through work zones is extremely dangerous and risks the lives of those workers in the area.

“Police would encourage drivers to be mindful of the reduced speed limits through work zones and the increase of traffic flow in and around those areas.”
