POLICE are investigating the death of a 65 year old man after being run over by horse and coach at the Canberra Region Transport Show.
At about 10am on Sunday police were called to the Transport Industry Skills Centre on Sutton Road after receiving reports of a man being seriously injured.
The man was attempting to restrain the horses when he was knocked to the ground and run over by the horses and coach.
ACT Ambulance conveyed the man to The Canberra Hospital for treatment where he later died.
Police are preparing a brief for the ACT Coroner.
Anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet contacted police is asked to call police on 131 444.
