Pop icon Prince heads to Oz

ONE of the world’s biggest pop superstars, Prince, returns to Australia this May.

However, the singer, who’s sold more than 100 million albums and best known for hits including “Purple Rain”, “Kiss” and “When Doves Cry”, has snubbed Canberra – his three date Australian tour will only reach Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

This is the third time Prince has toured Australia, the last time was in 2003. The singer will bring his full scale arena production to Australia, which includes a 360 degree stage.

Tickets go on sale Monday April 16 at 9am.

Prince: Welcome 2 Australia Tour: Allphones Arena, Sydney on May 11; Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne on May 14; and Entertainment Centre, Brisbane on May 18. Tickets at ticketek.com.au
