Teen charged with setting fire to dogs

A 16-year-old northside boy faced the ACT Childrens Court this morning charged with aggravated cruelty to an animal causing death.

Police alleged the youth killed at least three dogs by setting them on fire and then dismembering them. The remains of three dogs were located by police in a vacant grass area yesterday afternoon.

Police searched the the youth’s home yesterday.
