Two witnesses sought after Jamison robbery

POLICE are trying to find two people who saw a man flee after robbing a Jamison liquor store at knifepoint last night.

The man entered Liquorland at the Jamison Shopping Centre around 7.45pm armed with a knife, threatening a staff member and making demands for cash.

The staff member complied with the demands and handed the man a sum of cash before the man fled the store. He was last seen running across the ovals, towards Belconnen Way.

Police say they would like to speak to the two people who were inside ACTTAB at the Jamison shops and saw the man run from the location.

The man is described as around 6’4” (193cm) in height. He was wearing a face covering, black ‘hoodie’, dark coloured pants, and was carrying a sports bag.

Anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or saw a man matching the above description should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
