THE ABC is this morning spruiking what it claims to be the world’s first “pocket comedy”, a comedy sketch show specifically designed to be watched via phone, tablet or laptop.
“Monday Bites” director, Leon Ford says: ‘There’s a lot of misery and suffering out there and it peaks on a Monday morning. That’s a statistical fact. So we want to attack that misery head on.”
From today until September 14, the show delivers a new sketch every Monday morning.
“We’re here to cheer up the regular commuters who have nothing else to live for,” Leon says.
“Being made for the very small screen means ‘Monday Bites’ stars three of the country’s smallest actors. Leon Ford (director of critically
acclaimed ‘Griff The Invisible’), Nicholas Cassim (‘At Home With Julia’,
‘Wish You Were Here’) and Justin Smith (‘Mousetrap’, ‘Underbelly: Badness’).”
