Woman dies after suspected stabbing

A WOMAN was found dead with multiple stab wounds yesterday afternoon at a home in Macgregor.

About 4pm, a relative found the 30-year-old woman’s body inside the house.

Detectives searched the home last night and seized a number of items for forensic examination. Two men are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

A post mortem examination will be conducted tomorrow, however preliminary examinations reveal that the woman sustained a number of stab wounds.

Police say they are unable to provide any further details relating to the woman until all family members are notified of her death.
