A woman was robbed as she walked past Glebe Park on Saturday evening.
Police say the woman was walking towards Bunda Street between 10.30pm and 11pm when she was approached from behind by a man with a dark complexion.
After asking if the woman had any money, the man grabbed her bag, pulling it from her shoulder and snapping the strap.
He then ran into Glebe Park where he discarded her bag and stole her wallet.
The man is described as approximately 20-30 years old and 180cm tall (5’11”) with a lean build. He was clean shaven and had close cropped black hair. He was wearing a white puffy jacket with a Nike symbol on the back and dark pants. He was not carrying anything.
Police say the man was not carrying any weapons, and no injuries were sustained during the robbery.
Anyone who may have witnessed the robbery should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or viacrimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
