ORGANISERS of charity fashion event “Help from the Underground” are looking to top last year’s $18,000 in donations for the homeless.
Zoo Advertising CEO and head organiser of “Help” Clinton Hutchinson says he is still accepting donations and tallying after last week’s show but has so far “hit the halfway mark”, raising $10,000, with a goal of $20,000.
More than 650 people attended the fashion show, held in the underground car park in Kingston on Wednesday.
On the night, Public in Manuka raised close to $5,000 selling soup, mulled wine and tickets for the $2,000 flight voucher they donated, while a group of bloggers who got together to sell pre-loved clothes from their very own closets raised around $500.
All money raised will go towards St Vincent De Paul.
