CANBERRA DUO Beth n Ben are releasing their third EP “Scenic Roots” tomorrow, October 11.
This time round they’re experimenting with new genres and instruments. While staying true to their upbeat, happy go lucky vibe with tracks ‘Walk On’, ‘The Musician’, and ‘Less than More”, they tells us, they’ve “experimented with a softer folk approach in the songs ‘As the Hail Rains’ and ‘Just Enough’.”
In a slightly unusual format, tomorrow’s launch party will be opened by acoustic folk rock act Brother Be. Beth n Ben will then play their entire discography, adding trumpet, sax, cello, and percussion to their standard four-piece lineup. Finally, Party Gravy complete the night with their New Orleans style sound.
In January 2014, the pair plan to tour Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, Lismore, Byron Bay, Yamba, Port Macquarie, Salamander Bay, Bulli, Wangaratta, Warnimbool, and Ballarat to unveil “Scenic Roots”.
All the songs are originals written by Beth n Ben and arranged by Beth n Ben and Phil Rigger, engineered and produced by Phil Rigger for Monstereo Music.
The Canberra Musicians Club presents Beth n Ben ‘Scenic Roots’ EP Launch, at the White Eagle Polish Club, 8pm, Friday, October 11th till late, tickets at the door or bookings to trybooking.com/DLMG
