Blaze at Fyshwick car repair shop

SEVENTEEEN staff were evacuated from a car repair workshop after it caught fire in Fyshwick this morning. 

Firefighters were called to the Gemini Accident Repair Centre on Newcastle Street near Molonglo Mall just after 8am.

The fire in the spray paint booth was extinguished, and ventilation and the roof space was examined to ensure the fire didn’t spread. Damage was contained to the spray booth and the extraction system.

 

There were no injuries reported.
