Bonython supermarket robbed

POLICE would like to speak with two men who may have witnessed an armed robbery at the SPAR supermarket in Bonython last night.

Police afp copsJust before 7pm, a man with dark cloth covering his head and mouth allegedly approached the front counter and threatened a staff member with a knife, demanding money.

Police say the staff member handed over a small sum of cash to the offender, who ran in the direction of a nearby housing complex.

The offender is described as 6’ (183cm) tall with a muscular build, wearing a green top and grey pants, with dark cloth covering his head and mouth.

Police would especially like to speak to two men who left the store moments prior to the robbery, as they may have seen something which could assist with the investigation.
