Brazen thief caught through forensics

A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged with burgling a house in Bonython last week.

Police went to the home in Bonython at about 7.30pm last Friday night to investigate the burglary, in which a phone, cash, alcohol and a camera were stolen.

The alleged burglar was identified through forensic analysis, and found in possession of the stolen property yesterday afternoon at The Calwell Club.

He also had set of keys to a Holden Commodore, which was stolen from Jerrabomberra and found in the club’s car park.

The man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning charged with theft and burglary.
