POLICE are investigating a report of a young child being assaulted inside the Belconnen Library today and asking for any witnesses to come forward.
Police were called at about 1.30pm, after being told that a man had left the library shortly after being found in a corner with a young child.
The suspect is described as approximately 5’ 7” (170cm) tall, aged in his mid-30s to early 40s, with dark-coloured skin and a short beard. He was wearing a very loose-fitting tracksuit.
