Civic office evacuated

A CIVIC office block was evacuated this morning as fire-fighters investigated an electrical smell.

Fire crews detected the cause of the smell, from an airconditioning motor, using thermal imaging equipment.

Two  fire pumpers, one breathing apparatus van and one commander were on scene at the 11th floor office block on Marcus Clarke Street.

No injuries were reported.
